We have over 25 years experience of marketing, sales and operations in IT and wireless companies, from major multinationals to small startups. One of the
first employees in Dell Computer Corporation in Europe, Roger Stone was responsible at different times for the whole of their product marketing, for online
sales and for running laptop sales and operations. In the last ten years, he has worked in private equity, analysing companies and recommending investments,
as well as working with small companies to help them develop and grow. As director of WirelessMatch and former director of FlyTXT, he has also valuable
experience of the wireless market.
Roger Stone Background
2003- Running Roger Stone Consultancy, working on a range of projects for both large and small clients. In addition, served
as director for a number of software companies including Antics Group Limited and FlyTXT Limited. Since 2004 has been a director of
WirelessMatch , the wireless funding network.
2000-2002 : technology marketing director at Newtonmore Advisors Limited, advisors to a privately owned investment company. Responsible for the technical
and marketing evaluations of investee companies and of potential deals in areas including wireless messaging, IT services and video on demand. Carried out
over 100 evaluations of potential investments in European technology companies.
1988-1999 : Dell Computer Corporation. Held UK and European positions and spent 3 years doing sales and marketing in France. Positions included
- Director of Online Business for Northern Europe, where sales doubled to over $50M per quarter within 6 months
- Director of Notebook Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa : notebook market share doubled from 5% to over 10% inside 2 years and a second brand
was successfully launched targeted at small business
- European Group Product Marketing Manager responsible for all product lines and for the successful launch of completely new ranges of PCs
1983-1989 : ITT Data Systems/Alcatel Data Systems. European marketing and technical marketing positions working on PC software, distributed data processing
systems and intelligent terminals.
1980-1982 : Metrotech Management Technology Limited. Responsible for technical support for microcomputer sales.
